Photo booths are fun. Weddings are fun. Let's put them together.
There really is something amazing about photo booths. I might be biased as the owner of a photo booth rental company, but as I thought about the medium, I couldn't help but recollect fondly. I'll be diving into the history and significance of photo booths more in the next few weeks, but for now, a couple thoughts....
Let's face it. The selfie is the photographic innovation this era will be known for. The technique has its merits, and the idea of constant, instantly shared photos has an interesting sociological aspect as well. That said, the selfie can be a lonely, even embarrassing endeavor, and everyone knows the feeling of excitement inherent to the experience of using a photo booth.
Photo booths give us an opportunity to let our guard down, be SilLy in public, and get some photos printed out (something sadly missing from most of our smart phone photography adventures). And at the end of the day, they help us connect. My fridge is littered with photo booth photos, and every time I look at it, I can't help but smile. It reminds me of important events, interesting places, random nights out, and ultimately of the people in my life that make life worth living.
So next time you are at an event or out in public and see a photo booth, grab your friends and dive in.
Selecting a photo booth for your event can be tough. We have worked hundreds of events and have a good idea about what makes a photo booth rental successful. This post goes into the nitty gritty details of what you should look for to make sure your photo booth rental is a good fit.
Over the past few years, Larkspur has become the hottest wedding destination in central Colorado. This is due to its beautiful vistas, proximity to Denver and Colorado Springs, and the presence of a few premier venues. We have had the privilege of doing countless photo booth rentals for weddings in the area, and we can confirm that these are some of the finest venues in the state.
Below we have listed a few of our favorite venues in the area, in no particular order, and why we like them.
Crooked Willow Farms
Crooked Willow is an expansive farm located about 35 miles from Denver that boasts an impressive selection of spaces suited to any event. There is a goose pond, numerous spaces in the barns, beautiful outdoor spaces, and I'm pretty sure I even saw a llama when loading in the photo booth.
They also have dedicated spaces for a whiskey/cigar bar, lounge areas, and a converted old stable space meant specifically for photo booth rentals! This is definitely one of our favorite venues!
Spruce Mountain Ranch
Spruce mountain has been one of our favorites for a few years. This beautiful ranch has two main venue sites, and looks straight out of a Pinterest post titled 'Vintage Wedding | Colorado Rustic Wedding.' The giant barn doors that can open to beautiful views of the ranch and the Front Range are a great added touch and have the flexibility to close if there is any weather.
Spruce mountain feels big and comfortable at the same time, and the outdoor ceremony area has one of the best views available.
For something that is maybe a little less extravagant, the Golf Club at Bear Dance also hosts events in their facilities. You'll still get a lot of the great views and crisp summer weather that the other two Larkspur venues provide, and there is an onsite golf course that guests could enjoy in the days leading up to the wedding.
The Sanctuary (honorable mention)
Ok, so the Sanctuary is not in Larkspur, but as another venue in the area between Denver and Colorado Springs, it is a great option. The space has incredible views (America the Beautiful is said to have been written not far from this spot), and the staff is always incredibly accommodating. There are covered outdoor spaces and large indoor spaces as well. The covered outdoor spaces allow you to plan on enjoying the beautiful Colorado weather without having to worry much about those pesky afternoon storms. It also means your photo booth and dj can set up outside without the threat of having to change plans last minute. And did I mention the views?!
If you decide to have your wedding in Larkspur, give us a call. We have worked dozens of events up there so if you're looking for a photo booth rental in Larkspur, we will feel right at home.
